How to Get Here and Where to Stay

We suggest traveling between June and October. You won't need to bring a car due to the availability of Uber/Taxi services if you plan to stay in town.

We suggest staying in Downtown Edgartown or Oak Bluffs (hotel or AirBnB) to have easy, walkable access to attractions, bars, shopping and more.

We suggest coordinating 1-2 group activities in advance of your arrival and at least 1 formal dinner reservation. Most other options are flexible depending on your mood, the weather, and walk-in status availability of restaurants.

Where to Eat
Eating with large groups can be challenging due to long wait times, difficulty securing reservations, and the small sizes of restaurants on the island. We’ve considered this in our recommendations and suggested below places that we personally have had success at with large groups.

Best Lunch or Dinner Group Sit-Down Spots (Casual)
Seafood Shanty, Lookout Tavern or Nancys - best for seafood with a view, though you may need to walk in and wait.

Restaurants with Reservations for Large Groups:
Bettini, The Covington, Port Hunter, 19 Raw Oyster and Pawnee House all allow reservations for groups, and are located in walking distances of bars and nightlife
Prepared Food / Catering
Check out our Catering post if you’d like to coordinate a group meal where you are staying. Prepared food brought where you are staying is an alternate option that might help you save on alcohol costs and have a more laid-back feel.

Nightlife
