What is MVacay?

A comprehensive guide to all things Martha’s Vineyard for both island residents and visitors. We offer insider weekly updates on events and curated content about MV.

PS: We pronounce it “eM(like the letter) Vacay(like the word)” not MV-Vacay 😉

Who Writes MVacay?

Hi there, I’m Lis 👋🏼 (rhymes with Miss) Many of my family members help out with MVacay in various capacities (photos, apps, reviews, editing). But mostly it’s me!

Some facts about me: I’ve been going to MV for over 15 years and our family owns a home in Oak Bluffs, which is also where I married my husband in 2020. I have two kiddos under 2 and I’m a freelance consultant and writer. I love my lobster rolls warm, morning walks on West Chop Drive, and well-organized information.

I’ve never been to Martha’s Vineyard, where do I start?

We love the island and consider ourselves personal cheerleaders for every new business that opens here. Our mission is to create a space so everyone can equitably access and explore what makes MV beautiful. Thanks for following along and supporting our family.
