👰♀️ Edgartown Bachelorette Party Guide
A 3-Day Summer Itinerary for a Fun, Walkable Weekend on Martha's Vineyard
Edgartown is the best place to plan a bachelorette if your goal is a more polished, put-together weekend on Martha’s Vineyard. Think shopping, fancy dinners, harbor walks, and drinks that turn into a night out. This guide assumes you’re staying in Edgartown and keeping the weekend centered here. Let me give you the perfect itinerary!
🛬 Getting Here + Where to Stay
Arrive via ferry into Oak Bluffs or Vineyard Haven, then take a quick bus or rideshare into Edgartown.
You do not need a car if you’re staying in town.
Stay near Main Street, North Water Street, or closer to the harbor for the easiest setup.
Book early - Edgartown rentals and hotels fill quickly, especially for summer weekends.
✅ What to Book Before You Arrive
Edgartown requires a little more planning than Oak Bluffs, especially for dinner.
Pick 1 main activity and build Saturday around it:
Bring in house to your rental:
MV Picnics — beach or backyard setup, best for a styled “main event” moment
Social Coast Mobile Bar — comes to your house for a cocktail class, easy and fun pre-dinner
Private Chef (On Time Catering) — easiest way to do a group dinner without coordinating reservations
Get out:
Mad Max Sailing Adventure — right out of Edgartown harbor, great for groups and afternoon sails
Farm Institute Cooking Class — email them to schedule a group activity or ice cream making class
Beach day at South Beach (Katama)— short bike ride from town
Also:
Make one dinner reservation (for Saturday)
Schedule alcohol / grocery delivery via Ahead of Arrival

💡 MVacay’s Edgartown Bachelorette Tips
Book your dinners early, restaurants are small so large groups are tricky. Plan your outfits around dinners and going out because Edgartown leans more dressed up. Everything is walkable, but spread out just enough that comfortable shoes help and you may even want to rent a bike.
