Martha's Vineyard Striped Bass & Bluefish Derby - Ongoing! / info
West Tisbury Farmers' Market at Ag Hall, 9a-12p (Last Saturday of Season 10/28)
Guided Walk at Oyster Watcha Midlands, 10a-12p
Join Sheriff's Meadow Foundation's director of stewardship, Kristen Geagan, for a slow-paced botanical walk through this seldom-seen property to learn about the plants native to the sandplain grassland and this unique restoration project. Please use link to register!
NAACP MV 5K Road Race/Walk at Summercamp, 11a
Register on Friday, Sept. 15 from 5 to 7 p.m. ($20) or before the race from 9 to 11 a.m. ($25) at Summercamp hotel. All participants receive a T-shirt. Prizes will be awarded after the race. There's also a one-mile Fun Walk for kids 12 and under starting at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 16 ($10)
Ceremony of Remembrance at Edgartown Lighthouse, 1-2p
Each fall the museum hosts the Ceremony of Remembrance as a time for the family and friends of those in the memorial to gather and honor their loved ones.
Kismet Outfitters Fly Rod Derby Demo Day at the Edgartown Lighthouse, 2-4p
Whether you're looking to upgrade that old fly rod or trying to figure out the right fly line for albies, this is the perfect time to test new rods from leading manufacturers. After the event, kick it at the shop for beers and college football.
Jena’s Ring Challenge at the Flying Horses Carousel, 7p / info
Jena’s Ring Challenge is a ring-catching competition to see who can catch the most rings during a ride around the Carousel. Anybody can enter! The $25 fee to enter the Challenge includes one entry souvenir, up to three rides around the Carousel, and a concessions coupon.

2023 Hospice Golf Classic at Mink Meadows, 7a
We look forward to another great day of golf with an online silent auction, “chance to win” drawing, and a catered lunch with beverages – all to benefit and support the good work of Hospice & Palliative Care of Martha’s Vineyard.
MV Cultural Council Grant Clinic at WT Public Library, 1-2p
