Illumination 2023

Special Edition: Ag Fair Overview

We’ve highlighted our favorite events from the Ag Fair Program below. This is not all-inclusive, but the events that seemed most exciting to us in one list!

Admissions, Etc.

  • Price Per Day: Adults ($15), Kids 5-12 ($10), Seniors, Veterans (62+ $10), Kids 4+ Under Free / You can purchase in advanced online to skip lines

What’s Where?

  • Great Hall: submissions of produce, flowers, art, and baked goods

  • Animal Barn: rabbits, sheep, goats, cows, horses, and more

  • Fiber tent: offers demonstrations and activities for kids and adults during all open hours, from spinning to weaving

  • Contests: for everything from skillet-tossing to fire-starting

  • What else?: Live music, traditional fair foods, carnival rides galore

Event Highlights

Thursday - Cattle Day (10a-11p) 

  • All Day - Shearing demos  

  • 11 AM–1 PM: Touch tanks with the MV Shellfish Group 

  • 11 AM–1 PM: Storytime and crafts with the Vineyard Haven Library 

  • 1–3 PM: Meet a horse with Misty Meadows 

Friday - Horse Day (10a-11p) 

  • 3 PM: Pet Show 

  • 10 AM–12 PM: Free pony rides by Misty Meadows 

  • 3-5 PM: Crafts and storytime with the Edgartown Library 

  • 5 PM: Mark Alan Lovewell and Molly Conole 

  • 6:30: Youth Music Showcase

Saturday - Farm Machinery Day (10a-11p)
