July 4th Holiday Events
🇺🇸 Murdick’s Run the Chop Challenge, 9a / Sign Up
This year the race is a 4-mile loop around West Chop, beginning at Saint Augustine Church just off Franklin Street, about 3 blocks up from the boat dock in Vineyard Haven. Meant for the whole family, the race includes a fun run for the kids starting at 8:45 a.m., followed by the main event at 9 a.m.
🇺🇸 Oak Bluffs Children's 4th of July Parade -- MVCMA, 10a
Parade flows down Clinton Ave. and around Trinity Circle, ending by the MVCMA Cottage Museum where a treat will be waiting! All are welcome. Line up on West Clinton Avenue at 9:45 a.m. with decorated bikes, scooters, and strollers! Parade is at 10 a.m.
🇺🇸 Aquinnah Fourth of July Parade and Community Picnic, 10a
Decorate your car; all floats welcome. Floats line up at 10 a.m. on Moshup Trail at Old South Road. The parade starts at 11 a.m. and travels around Aquinnah Circle. Prize will be awarded for the Best Float! The second annual Aquinnah Community Picnic begins at 11:30 a.m. at the Vanderhoop Homestead. Food is provided, but everyone is welcome to bring something to share (not required). This year we will have a tent, two grills, picnic tables, kites, bubbles and hula hoops!

Quintessential parade through the center of Edgartown with bands, floats, classic cars and a sense of history! Start time is 5 p.m. at the Edgartown School and the parade will make its way down Main street.

Come to Felix Neck for an alternative celebration. Spend the night in the quiet woodlands as we walk in search of everyone's favorite insect, then gather by the fire for s'mores and stargazing. All ages welcome.
