Hello! We are over here entering week 3 of Parental Leave with lil’ Aria, and I had such a mom-brain that I published TWO roundups on accident on Monday. Sorry for the double-email! I hope you found them helpful!

    • Tour the schooner Amistad, a replica of the historic ship that became famous after a group of enslaved Africans led a successful revolt and won their freedom in the U.S. Supreme Court, will drop anchor at Martha’s Vineyard for Juneteenth weekend. Free.

  • ⭐👨‍👩‍👧 Children's Fair at Chilmark Church, 10a-12p

    • Fun activities and games for all. There will be arts and crafts projects, face painting, food, bouncy house, pony rides and more! Free for all ages.

    • Music, food, artisans and entertainment all day. Kick off the summer season with this Island tradition!

    • Outdoor flea market offering antiques, imports, vintage finds and high-quality handmade items from Vineyard artists. Free entry and parking.

    • Outdoor farmers market features locally grown produce and meat and locally made products. Restrooms and parking available.

  • ✊🏿👨‍👩‍👧🎵Annual Juneteenth Jubilee Cultural Festival at Trinity Park Tabernacle, 12:30-7p

    • Learn more about Martha’s Vineyard history; join for a fireside chat with Pulitzer Prize winner Nikole Hannah-Jones, and continue with cultural performances by Grammy Award-winning jazz pianist Christian Sands; world-renowned actress Lynn Whitfield; founder of Rock Noire, musician/vocalist Grace Gibson; harpist Tulani, local performers Sean and Siren; and more. 

      Juneteenth Jubilee Cultural Festival is free and open to all.

    • Chef Look will be cooking on the grill, serving up a family-style lunch accompanied by live music from Andrew Sue Wing, a Boston-based singer/songwriter, and guitarist specializing in R&B. This a family-friendly event and is free and open to the public.

  • ⭐🎟️Taste of the Vineyard: Patrons Party and Auction at Dr. Daniel Fisher House, 5:30p / $375 tickets

  • ✊🏿🎟️Juneteenth Celebration Screening of Spike Lee's The Original Kings of Comedy, at The Strand, 7:15p

  • ⭐🎟️The 43rd Annual Bloomsday Celebration at Katharine Cornell Theatre, 8p /$25

    • Bloomsday Celebration of music, drama and humor based on the writings of James Joyce. 

Sunday (6/18)

  • 🔄👨‍👩‍👧🎨Vineyard Artisans Summer Festival at Grange Hall, 10a-2p

    • Weekly art show where the public can meet more than 70 Island artisans and buy directly from them. Many demonstrations, weaving, fine furniture, pottery, stained glass, oil paintings, pastels, mixed media, sculpture, wampum jewelry, quilts, clothing, sea glass windows, handmade books and much more.

      Free parking, free admission, great food and a playground for kids.
