We have two big events highlighted this weekend - The Martha’s Vineyard Film Festival and the MV Marathon + Half Marathon. Hop on over to pair popcorn with a film 🍿 or go eat a donut while you cheer on the marathoner’s finish line! 🍩

Martha’s Vineyard Film Festival

MVFF will span five days and three locations - Grange Hall’s upstairs theater, First Congregational Church of West Tisbury and the Old West Tisbury Library on Music Street. Discussions with directors follow most showings. Here is the full itinerary with descriptions of the films, locations + times.

Saturday

Martha’s Vineyard Marathon + Half Marathon - both start @ MVRHS, Finish @ Waban Park, OB, 8:30-12:40 info here

Fly Rod Striped Bass Catch & Release Tournament

This one-night team shore fly-fishing contest encourages team members to each fill a fish quota. Plaques are awarded in three categories: team to reach its fish quota with the earliest time; each member fishing with only one fly and for the largest striped bass released. Registration is from noon to 3 p.m. at the Rod & Gun Club, awards are at 7pm. info here

Beach Cleanup + Scavenger Hunt @ Lagoon Pond, 10a-12p

Light Up the Lagoon @ Lagoon Pond, 9p

Light up Lagoon Pond in dedication and commitment to the health and stewardship of the pond. Bring any form of light to the water's edge or in a boat. We will shine promptly at 9 p.m.
