• Beach Road Weekend will not take place on MV in 2024 and instead will move to Cape Cod in 2025

• The 1/30 Steamship Authority General Opening for reservations have been postponed due to technical difficulties

• The Lucy Vincent “arch” fell due to erosion this week (pic of it from Sunday below)

• South Beach is still closed

• Wicked Burger will open in R+B’s old restaurant space in Edgartown (by chef/owner of Alchemy)

• Jimmy Seas will have new ownership in 2027

• The Taqueria planned for Old Stone Bank will hopefully open this spring

• Golden Bull Steakhouse (currently closed) had their new liquor license approved, but will open at a different location in Vineyard Haven instead of at Five Corners

• Joyful Eatings Benefitting Harbor Homes at Federated Church, 2:30-4:30

  • Join chef Brent Turner of Rosewater for this week's Joyful Eatings, a program that brings professional island chefs and volunteers together each Sunday afternoon to creatively prepare a meal for the Harbor Homes overnight shelter. Volunteer 'sous chefs' learn some yummy recipes, cooking techniques, enjoy a tasting, and help provide a delicious, nutritious meal for some of the most vulnerable members of our community. Sign up to be a volunteer sous chef. Pre-registration required.

• 37th Anniversary Burns Nicht Supper at The Loft, 5p

  • The Scottish Society of Martha's Vineyard cordially invites you to the in-person Burns Nicht Supper, an institution of Scottish life, a night to celebrate the life and genius of Scotland's national bard, Robert Burns.  Enjoy an evening of pageantry and festivity including Highland piping and Scottish songs. The event will be held at The Loft in Oak Bluffs. Cocktails and social hour begins at 5 p.m. Dinner begins at 6 p.m.  Email Colin Ewing at ewingcolin@gmail.com for tickets. $65 per member, $70 per member. RSVP required by Jan. 16.
