Holiday season is in full swing! After Light up Oak Bluffs last weekend, this weekend we shift to Vineyard Haven’s First Friday and Winter Wonderland before next weekend’s Christmas in Edgartown. A month long of celebrations, we’re so lucky!

🎄 Aquinnah Artisans Holiday Fair at Aquinnah Town Hall, This Saturday and Sunday only 10a-4p
Celebrate the holiday spirit! Enjoy the Children's Art Show and a craft table while shopping for artisan-made goods including pottery, ceramics, native crafts, dolls and ornaments, wampum jewelry cashmere and wool headwear, bottled Aquinnah clay, scallop shell lights, embroidered linens, small paintings and so much more. Food vendors will be Orange Peel Bakery and Jeff and Vika Duarte.

Get into the holiday spirit with "Sing We Joyous!" a concert by the Island Community Chorus, with director William Peek. The repertoire ranges from America to Europe and to Africa. It will include familiar Handel and Bach music, a Christmas spiritual song, a jazzy Hanukkah piece, and much more. A free reception will follow the performance. Come kick off the holiday season with an interactive screening of The Polar Express! Viewers will receive prompts and props to interact with the film.
This program is generously supported by Friends of the Vineyard Haven Public Library and the Martha's Vineyard Film Society. This event is free, but please reserve your free tickets now to ensure you have admission! Doors open for admissions 30 minutes prior to screening.

MV Land Bank Guided Walk at Trade Winds Field Preserve, 1p
Join the Land Bank staff on a guided walk at Trade Winds Field Preserve. The property is a classic sandplain grassland habitat, whose survival in this location was just a matter of good fortune: the land was used for decades as a grass-strip airport and the regular mowing and rolling that accompanied that use prevented the land’s succession into woodland. Ongoing rescue efforts for the sandplain species — purple tiger beetle, sandplain blue-eyed grass, purple needlegrass, bearberry, wild indigo and sickle-leaf golden aster — are underway. The restoration effort is a dynamic process. The walk will be given rain or shine and will last approximately 2 hours

Island artists and musicians present free Offering of Music and Light to brighten the darker days.
