InsectShield will also treat your clothes by the piece or you can fill a bag. I live in treated clothes and shoes now (and tuck pants into socks)- really helps!

I use 99% deet and so do most backpackers. 30% is fine but you can use higher concentrations that are also safe and easier to pack light in a tiny spray bottle. This is such a comprehensive summary of all the important ways to steer clear of ticks and tick borne illnesses. Thanks for putting it all together!
