I’ve seen a lot of local chatter about off-island organizations hosting local pop-ups. In this article I shared how you can bring something to Martha’s Vineyard while ALSO supporting the people, businesses and organizations that work so hard year round to make this such a special place to visit:

🎡 164th Annual Agricultural Fair at MV Agricultural Hall, 10a–11p Fri & Sat; 10a–6p Sun / $10-$15 / Tickets / Fiesta Rides / + $10 Cash for Parking
A classic MV summer tradition, the Ag Fair brings together carnival rides, animals, exhibits, competitions, food and family activities.
Friday highlights: Kids Corn Husking Competition at 2p, Chopstick Knitting Competition at 3p and Pet Show at 3p.
Saturday highlights: Kiddie Pedal Tractor Pull at 11a, Shucking Competition at 3p, Sack Races at 5p and Tug-O-War at 5:30p.
Sunday highlights: Dog Show at 10a, Chopstick Knitting Competition at 3p and Women’s Skillet Toss at 3p.
Rides are separate from admission and parking: Unlimited ride megapasses are $70 per person per day; Friday-night unlimited wristbands are $50 from 5–10p. Individual ride cards are also available at carnival kiosks.

The Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival continues its weekend programming with screenings and conversations featuring filmmakers, actors and entertainment-industry leaders. A few films with tickets remaining:
