📍Island Updates
Beehive Pros Now Open in Oak Bluffs: Beehive Pros is the Island’s newest one-stop shop for residential and commercial maintenance, offering comprehensive service plans. They're located in the old Santander Bank building in Oak Bluffs, right across from the ferry.
New Luggage Service: Bag & Shag — Bag & Shag is now offering door-to-door luggage pickup and delivery across MV, solving the classic early-arrival/late-departure problem for renters and visitors.
New Podcast: Vineyard Happenings: Back for its second summer, this weekly podcast highlights events and voices shaping the Black/African American summer community on MV.
Ag Fair Changes Ride Vendor and Dates — The MV Agricultural Society has signed a contract with a new vendor, meaning this year’s fair will feature fewer rides than usual, and starting in 2026, it will move to earlier dates (August 13–16) and announced dates for the next 5 years.
Boch Park Finally Opens to the Public —After nearly two years of being finished but fenced off, Boch Park on the Vineyard Haven waterfront is officially open. Located at 20 Beach Road, this privately owned spot features gardens, benches, and ocean views. Free, open dawn to dusk, with no parking available.
New Vendor: MV Market Munchies —Debuting this summer, MV Market Munchies is small-batching creative snack mixes like “Martha’s Beach and Brew” (buffalo ranch). Catch them at First Friday and other local events.
Edgartown Sets New Dock Dance Time — The beloved Dock Dance will now run Tuesdays from 6:30–8:30pm at Memorial Wharf, after the Edgartown board approved an earlier start amid safety concerns. TBD if it begins this Tuesday (7/8), but we’re hopeful!
