Congratulations to all the new business owners and entrepreneurs! 🚀
This constantly evolving list of businesses will continue to be updated as new businesses, restaurants and expansions come to the scene in Summer 2025. This list features businesses that launched after October 2024 or are set to open later this summer.

🍽️ New Businesses
🍴New Restaurants or Food Offerings
Black Joy Kitchen (OB) – Located across from Tony’s in OB, this African Diaspora dining experience will offer a variety of options including family meals. Full opening May 2025.
Michael’s (OB) – Replacing Linda Jean’s with a new concept by the Santoro Group: bougie breakfast/brunch and Asian seafood for dinner. Opening date TBD.
MV Tap (VH) – Opening in the former Golden Bull space with a new restaurant concept that is traditional pub food, outdoor seating and hopefully live music. Opening date TBD.
Quitsa Kitchen (VH) – New fast casual lunch option in the former Life at Humphrey’s space offering creative, homestyle cooking. Open.
The Maker Pasta Shop and Cafe (VH) – Opening this March in the former Little House Cafe location with farm-to-table pasta. Opening date TBD.
Ocean Club (VH) – Opening date TBD, this will be a fine dining restaurant in the old stone bank in Vineyard haven.
Ben and Bill’s (Edgartown) will open a second location in May in the old location of Scoop Shack across from Sea Legs.
Iggy’s Bread (Menemsha) –A second outpost up-island in the old location of The Bite. Opening for the season TBD.
Indigo (Edgartown) - is set to open in the old Sharky’s spot in Edgartown by late May serving Indian and Mediterranean dishes, a full bar, and a cozy setup with a seasonal patio.
Simone’s Belgian Waffles (Vineyard Haven) is coming to the Ice Box in the Tisbury Marketplace with warm, topped-to-order waffles with caramel, chocolate, or ice cream are on the way.
Revel Galley + Provisions (Vineyard Haven) opened in the former location of the Model Deli, serving globally influenced cuisine.
Mobile or Pop-Ups
Ritz on the Rocks - The Ritz has launched a new mobile bar for events, offering concierge cocktails.
Pocket Dogs - a pop-up at The Ritz, serving hot dogs from 1-6p on Sundays.
Found Foods – A new monthly supper club by Jenny DiVivo showcasing creative meals made from surplus and saved foods. Monthly at FARM Institute.
🛍️ New Shops
Conrado (VH) – Opening a new clothing store in the old Sea Bags location; their existing Old Stone Bank space will convert to a home and gifts store.
Creekville Art and Antiques (VH) – Formerly in Menemsha, this jewelry and antiques space will be next to Mansion House.
Ile Kids Shop (VH) – this Brazilian-owned kids shop will open on Main Street in Vineyard Haven.
Oso (OB) – A new clothing store by the owner of Basics opening in the former Laughing Bear space. Opened May 1.
💆 Wellness Services and Experiences
Glow on Main (VH) – A new esthetician studio offering skincare services on Main Street.
Talita Destefani Studio (OB) – The beauty salon has moved to a new space just a block from its original location.
Cura Collective (West Tisbury) – A wellness-focused shop at Radio Farm offering mobile sauna and cold plunge services.
MV Herbal Apothecary (Chilmark) – Small-batch herbal products with a focus on local and natural remedies.
Cottage City Charters – A new charter boat company offering sunset cruises and custom day trips.
Restorative Therapeutic Massage - A new massage offering in Vineyard Haven.
🔄 Expansions, Ownership Changes + Movement
🤝 New Owners or Management
Tony’s Market (OB) – Ownership has changed hands, though no immediate changes have been announced.
Square Rigger (Edg) – Temporarily closed and reopened under new management.
First Light Café (VH) – Now managed by Gina Stanley (Art Cliff); this fast casual café inside the MV Museum is open to the public without museum admission.
The Edgartown Collection – The group of five boutique hotels in downtown Edgartown has transitioned management from Lark Hotels to Olympia Hospitality.
📦 Moving
51 Art Gallery / The Shoppe With The Red Door (VH) – Now located at 4 Union Street (former home of Coastal Supply Co).
Coastal Supply Co (VH) – Now open in their new location at 65 Main Street (old Leslie’s Pharmacy).
Nell (Edg) – Moving their clothing shop down Main Street to a new spot next to The Wharf and across from Nell Home.
Vaalbara Supply Co (Edg) – Moving to a new location (TBD).
Untameable (Edg) – Moving to a new location (TBD).
Vineyard Vinyasa (Edg) – Has moved within Nevin Square to a larger studio space.

🛠️ Renovations + Evolving Infrastructure
Great Harbor Market (Edg) – Reopened recently after renovations.
Salvatore’s (VH) – Currently closed for renovations.
Scottish Bakehouse (VH) – Currently closed for renovations.
Beetlebung Farm (Chilmark) – Debuted a new farm stand building.
Stop & Shop (Edg) – remodeling their pharmacy.
Vineyard Haven Library – will be closed all year during renovation, operating at a temporary space at 15 Church Street.
📅 New Events + Venues
Jaws 50th Anniversary – Tickets are live!
Stillpoint – A new venue in West Tisbury hosting concerts and creative events; this will be its first full summer season.
Shark Tank Music Festival - in the works for September 13th, hoping to benefit funding gaps for Veterans counseling. Pending approvals, it would be held at the baseball field and be alcohol free, with local island bands performing.
🎨 New Groups + Media
True Vineyard Color Podcast – A new podcast spotlighting island entrepreneurs and creatives.
My Art MV – A new digital platform designed to support and connect local island artisans.
SSA Citizens’ Action Group - A grassroots organization focused on improving Steamship Authority operations and transparency.

Linda Jean’s (OB) – Closed permanently. Will be replaced by Michael’s.
Circuit Style Salon (OB) – Closed permanently.
Laughing Bear (OB) – Closed permanently. Will be replaced by Oso.

Glasshouse (Edg) – Closed permanently.
