It can be overwhelming to try to coordinate a bunch of men and women, travel to a new place, figure out where to eat and how to spend time…we get you! I have planned two bachelorette parties on the island and even as an experienced islander, it can be a lot to figure out who can accommodate large parties! Here are our top picks:

Experiences

  • Here are some group events you can try out :) Tell them we sent you!

  • Private Cooking Classes

    • Private cooking lessons are a great way to gain confidence in the kitchen, learn a little and laugh a lot. The following chefs love to share her culinary knowledge, experience and passion for food in the privacy of your own home.

      • Chef Marta

      • Food Minded Fellow

      • Spring Sheldon

  • Catboat Charters Boat Tour

    • Explore Martha's Vineyard sailing aboard a restored antique traditional Cape Cod Catboat around the island with up to six guests.

    • Catboat Charters

    • Island Girl Excursions

  • Flower Party

    • A fun evening of cocktails, charcuterie and an inclusive training session on flower arrangements; learn to make bouquets from Aubrey Maria Designs, flower crowns or floral fascinators with your favorite ladies!

  • Facial Party

    • Schedule group champagne facials for all the ladies with Botanical Beauty

  • Yoga Class

    • Alpaca Yoga

    • Liza Hull

    • Yoga Barn

  • Paddle Boarding

  • Art Party

Dining

  • Here are some of our suggested restaurants that are accommodating to reservations and large parties

  • The Cardboard Box: quality upscale food for groups, with dancing at night

  • Noman’s: best for outdoor games, day drinking, large groups

  • Nancys or Lookout Tavern: best for seafood with a view

  • HarborView Hotel: best for drinks on the deck

  • Best Picnic Food: Waterside Market, Life at Humphreys

Sightseeing

  • Here are some of our favorite suggestions for new visitors :)

  • 30 minutes: walk around Oak Bluffs - Ocean Park, Gingerbread Houses, the Marina, Inkwell Beach

  • 2 hours: shop in downtown Edgartown, walk down Main St and up to HarborView Hotel and walk around the Edgartown Lighthouse

  • 2 hours: drive to Gay Head Lighthouse and see the cliffs

  • 3 hours: watch the Sunset at Menemsha with a Picnic

  • Beach Day: South Beach or State Beach are the beaches we recommend
