Everything you need to know about the fun, seasonal cooking classes
This year I took the Farm to Focaccia: Bread Art class with the talented Vineyard Baker at The FARM Institute and I think itās one of the most perfect activities - educational and delicious! I also took the Found Foods Supper Club with Jenny Divivo. Hereās everything to know before you join in on this hands-on experience yourself:
š The Cooking Class Experience
Bread Art with Vineyard Baker - 2024
Theresa Culletto, also known as The Vineyard Baker, has a lifelong dedication to bread-making. Her focus on āBread Artā adds a unique, creative twist to traditional bread-making. Check out her work for tips and inspiration to elevate your baking journey.
Led by Vineyard Baker Theresa Culletto, the class focused on hands-on techniques like kneading and dough shaping, with detailed explanations of ingredients and tools so we could replicate the process at home. Teri fostered a collaborative atmosphere where Iāattending soloāeasily connected with families, couples, and groups. The small class size allowed for plenty of interaction, making it easy to ask questions and get personalized tips from the staff and instructor as we moved through the steps.
Structured into alternating sections of teaching and doing, the class felt comfortable and achievable, allowing us to complete everything from start to finish within two hours. We could add our own creative touches to the focaccia, and everyone left with their finished bread, recipe, and a new set of skills to take home.

š„ Found Foods Supper Club with Chef Jenny DeVivo - 2025
I also tried the hands-on supper club led by Chef Jenny DeVivo this summer! It was a fast-paced, inspiring experience that blended community, creativity, and sustainability. The class moved quicker than expected, yet Jenny kept full control of the kitchenāorganizing tasks so that everyone had a meaningful role in preparing the shared meal.
Each participant contributed to the final dinner, learning zero-waste cooking and upcycling techniques using fresh, local ingredients sourced from island farms and fishers. Itās part of The FARM Instituteās ongoing Found Foods Supper Club series, where no two classes are alikeāthe menu changes weekly based on whatās in surplus, teaching resourcefulness in the most delicious way possible.
Jenny, a beloved island chef and educator, brings deep knowledge and warmth to every class. Her focus on rescued ingredients and practical skills makes this a must-try for anyone who loves food, sustainability, or simply meeting new people around a shared table.
