⛵ Martha's Vineyard Activity Spotlight: Mad Max Catamaran Boat Ride
An MV Bucket List Item - tour Edgartown Harbor and Chappy by boat!
I’ve always seen the big red Catamaran in Edgartown Harbor and I finally hopped on board this summer to see Chappy by boat. It was SO relaxing, and surprisingly quiet and private. There were large groups but we had plenty of space to spread out and enjoy in various-sized groups aboard. Here’s all you need to know to plan your trip:
🎖️About Mad Max
Mad Max is a state-of-the-art Catamaran based out of Historic Edgartown Harbor. Celebrating its 30th season, Mad Max offers a smooth, stable ride with twin hulls designed for passenger comfort and safety. Whether you relax in the shaded cabin or lounge on the forward netting, the experience is unforgettable for all ages. They are the only by-the-ticket Catamaran on Martha’s Vineyard, and one of very few per-ticket options for leisure sailing.
🌍 The Boat Experience
The Mad Max Adventure sails through Edgartown Harbor, showcasing spectacular views of historic whaling homes and classic yachts. It's a bucket list activity on Martha's Vineyard, with 2-hour cruises available in the afternoon and evening. The boat's stability and thoughtful design ensure a comfortable ride even for those prone to motion sickness—I was entirely at ease during my sail! You can bring kids of all ages aboard and feel comfortable in the cabin underneath, and there’s space to spread out with snacks at the tables in the shade.
